All were shot with my BlinkII.
Obtained via Buy.com, it's a refurbished SiPix Blink II. It was $20, $6 S&H, anda $20 rebate that I'm still waiting for. Has 8MB onboard memory, and stores 70-or-so "hi-res" photos and 300 lo-res. Also takes rapid-shots (15 fps? 10fps?), and--best of all--has an "outdoor" mode that is designed for bright lights (and I foolishly forgot to use at the sunny NYC rally, saturday) but works wonderfully in dim situations for long exposures. W007!!! Their proprietary compression & enhancement algorithms give the photos a unique texutre that I'm liking.
I'm >not< a "photographer" (whatever that is; and which should also be obvious). But the images produced by this little piece of plastic-and-silicon are so noisy/messy that I'm not "intimidated" into trying to make them "good photographs." Instead, I just charge out to make them into themselves.
Successful? Comments?

Re: snaps
Fri, March 26, 2004 - 5:23 PMSo are those all in-camera enhancements, or did you tweak them further? -

Re: snaps
Fri, March 26, 2004 - 8:14 PMthat'd be photoshop. primarily some noise reduction, colors pumped, level adjustments, and sometimes gaussiean-blurred to hell-and-back 'cause I'm fed up with the image. And some color shifting, on occassion. Nothing that can't theoretically be done to regular photos. I think. Kinda. No layering, for the most part. -

Re: snaps
Thu, April 1, 2004 - 1:40 PMThe shots are pretty good. I really like no 24 in your gallery, the "abstracted street" though. -

!2#!@#!@#$**&*!!!
Mon, April 19, 2004 - 7:05 AMthe button on my cam has stopped working. I bought a new set of small screwdrivers to open it up, and discovered that there wasn't anything blocking the micro-switch--it's the switch itself. Will see what I can do to replace it & keep it small....
